Quinn Tran • May 8, 2023

Quinn Water Systems, a water treatment services company in GTA, Ontario, recently completed a residential project in Burlington that involved installing a reverse osmosis (RO) filter system for well water treatment. The customer's preference was to have the RO system installed in the basement, servicing two kitchen sinks. Quinn Water Team successfully addressed the customer's requirements, which included increasing water pressure and running a 20-foot water line to the kitchen. The result was a 6-stage alkaline under the sink RO system that delivered excellent water quality and taste, surpassing the customer's expectations.

RO Burlington

We were approached by a customer in Burlington, Ontario who had concerns about the quality of their well water. The customer needed a comprehensive solution that would effectively treat the well water, remove impurities, and improve taste and odour. Additionally, the customer preferred to have the RO system installed in the basement to provide convenient access for two kitchen sinks.
Upon assessing the customer's requirements, Quinn Water Systems recommended a
6-stage alkaline under the sink RO system, known for its advanced filtration capabilities and ability to deliver superior water quality. The RO system utilizes reverse osmosis technology, which involves the passage of water through a semipermeable membrane to remove impurities, contaminants, and minerals, resulting in clean, purified water.

Here's a breakdown of the steps we took to install the RO system:

  • Step 1: Assessment and Planning

Our team conducted a thorough assessment of the client's water quality and home plumbing system to determine the best location and setup for the RO system. We also worked with the client to identify their specific water usage needs and preferences. To address the customer's preference for basement installation and increased water pressure, Quinn Water Team devised a customized plan. An additional tank was added to the system to enhance water pressure, ensuring optimal performance of the RO system. Additionally, a 20-foot water line was run to the kitchen, providing seamless connectivity and functionality of the RO system for the two kitchen sinks.

  • Step 2: Installation of the RO System

Once we had a plan in place, we began installing the RO system in the client's basement. This involved installing the RO unit, connecting it to the home's plumbing system, and ensuring that all components were properly secured and functional. The installation process was carried out by our experienced technicians Moses at Quinn Water Systems, who ensured that all components of the RO system were properly installed, and the system was calibrated for maximum efficiency. Our full well water filtration systems including: UV disinfection systems, Carbon Filter, Taste and Odour and Water Softener. The customer's preference for basement installation was successfully fulfilled, with the RO system conveniently accessible for maintenance and operation.

  • Step 3: Testing and Calibration

After the installation was complete, we conducted extensive testing and calibration to ensure that the system was producing clean, safe water at the desired flow rate and pressure. We also trained the client on how to use and maintain the system to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Upon completion of the installation:

The result of our work was a highly effective and efficient RO system that provided the client with clean, safe, and great-tasting drinking water. Upon completion of the installation, the customer was thrilled with the results. The water quality and taste were significantly improved, surpassing their expectations. The customer expressed satisfaction with the convenience of having the RO system installed in the basement, providing easy access for both kitchen sinks.

well water filtration

Well water can often contain impurities, contaminants, and minerals that affect taste, odour, and overall safety. The advanced filtration capabilities of the 6-stage alkaline RO system ensured that the well water was thoroughly purified, resulting in clean, great-tasting drinking water for the customer's household.

In addition to addressing the customer's concerns about well water treatment, the installed RO system also eliminated the need for bottled drinking water. The customer mentioned that the taste of the purified water was so good that they no longer felt the need to purchase fancy bottled drinking water. This not only saved them money in the long run but also contributed to reducing plastic waste, benefiting the environment.

Quinn Water Systems' expertise in water filtration systems and our ability to customize solutions according to customer preferences and requirements were instrumental in the success of this case study. The professional installation process, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering excellent water quality and taste were highly appreciated by the customer.
